Measurements: 140cm x 40cm
Materials: Light, engines, mirrors, lenses, prisms
This sculpture was conceived in collaboration with pianist Joep Beving during the creation of his album Hermetism. It draws inspiration from the seven laws of Hermetism, particularly those concerning balance and energy. A small light source, through hypnotic circular movements, transmutes light into various shapes, creating both a meditative and profound effect.
The studio harbors a deep fascination with lenses and lighthouses—lonely beacons signaling the presence of humanity in the vast, eternal void. This sculpture, situated at the horizon's edge, offers a temporary sanctuary within that void.
